The problem with modern washing machines is when the main PCB (Control Board or Brain) shows a fault they refuse to work!
After some fault finding and research it came to my attention that the heating element was open circuit. So the washing machine was capable of carrying out a cold wash but the PCB was preventing the end user from doing so!
A replacement part was sourced, washer stripped down and repaired and up and running again in a couple of days.
